The natural world will forever be our muse and we hope to play a part in protecting it by addressing our impact on society and the environment.
Climate & Energy
In calendar year 2025, the use of solar energy at this facility generated approximately 795 megawatt-hours (MWh) of energy. Since 2019, the system has produced over 5,000MWh of renewable solar energy, saving annual carbon dioxide emissions by 1 035 tonnes of CO2e* compared to standard UK grid sources of electricity. (*When calculated using UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DENZ) conversion factor of 0,207 kg CO2e/KWh). Since 2020, we have achieved zero industrial waste-to-landfill for our manufacturing site, which we are committed to maintaining.
When it comes to the raw materials used in our products, we are committed to responsible sourcing with attention to potential impacts on people and the environment. Through our parent company, we work with suppliers and partners to map select sensitive supply chain ingredients back to the mill or farm. Increasing our understanding of our supply chain down to the source helps us to understand risk and opportunities at a local level. We know that there is more we can do and are working to strengthen our approach to protecting biodiversity and local communities.
In order to champion progress and continue our journey of improvement, we recognise that we must embrace education and commit to challenging perceptions and practices. As proud members of various organisations, we are able to implement key learnings and share in new processes and practices to guarantee that we are continually evolving and improving.

Nuestras velas están fabricadas a mano en una lechería reconvertida en las llanuras de South Downs, donde cada una de ellas pasa por 16 pares de expertas manos artesanas y el proceso es una lección de artesanía y paciencia.
Nuestra principal instalación de fabricación se encuentra en Hampshire, donde creamos el 90 % de nuestros productos. Whitman Laboratories es un lugar especialmente diseñado que cuenta con un sistema fotovoltaico solar de megavatios que genera entre un 12 y un 14 % de las necesidades anuales de electricidad del sitio (hasta un 95 % durante los meses de verano) y contribuye a la misión de nuestra empresa matriz de conseguir una huella neta de carbono cero.
El uso de energía solar en esta instalación en el año fiscal 2020 generó aproximadamente 830 megavatios (MWh) de energía solar, reduciendo 490 toneladas métricas de emisiones de CO2 anualmente, el equivalente a abastecer 268 hogares en el Reino Unido durante un año. Desde su instalación en octubre de 2017, el sistema ha producido más de 2 000 MWh de electricidad limpia. Porque cuando nos gusta tanto lo nuestro, hacemos todo lo posible por protegerlo.
